GENERAL INFO AND FAQ
Our recreational volleyball leagues are for players who are new to the sport and for experienced players who want to keep up their volleyball contacts with weekly training and game play!
Please see below for some common questions and answers:
Roster Creation
When drafting teams, we take into account the nights of availability for each player, their previous experience, and placement requests. The league does everything possible to distribute the skill levels evenly across all teams. Placement requests are not guaranteed but we want to support young athletes being multi-sport so we do our best to accommodate. Please note that placement requests are prioritized by day of the week request, returning coach request, athlete requesting coach, and then friend/family. Placement requests will only be taken into consideration if they are included in the registration form and no accommodations will be made after rosters are sent out.
Games
Each league has specific game times and generally land on Saturdays or Sundays. No game time accommodations can be made in your placement request. Our game format is best of three for the recorded W/L and then as many sets that can be played in the one hour time slot.
Our league uses modified game play and equal play rules with guidance from Volleyball Canada. Please see our league game rules here:
