Learn to Play Volleyball:
Special December Dates!
Join us Saturday mornings at the Volleybarn on December 5th, 12th, and 19th!
Due to demand, ICP Regina Youth Volleyball will be offering a special Learn to Play program for the month of December to ease our wait-list and get more players introduced to this great sport!
We will be running a Mini Volleyball (Grades 1-3) group on one court and a LTP Volleyball (Grades 4-6) group on the other. SPOTS ARE LIMITED!
We have condensed our usual programming into three, 1.5 hour sessions from 9:00-10:30am for a morning of skill building and fun!
Your love for volleyball starts here!
Learn more about each program below:
Mini-Volleyball is an approach developed by Volleyball Canada (also known as the Elementary Program) to introduce children to the game of volleyball!
This program uses Volleyball Canada's Mini Volleyball resources and equipment that are developed specifically for tiny hands and bodies! In addition to special equipment, such as lower nets and lighter volleyballs, drills and games are adapted to encourage longer rallies and decrease the difficulty of skill execution!
Learn to Play (LTP) Volleyball is based on Volleyball Canada's Atomic Program (also known as the Community Program).
This program is designed for skill development and to teach our new players the basics of the sport through adapted 4v4 play. Players will use a lighter ball, lower net, and a smaller court to get them ready for the more complex 6 on 6 game when they are older!
Each session players will learn a new element of volleyball and put practice into play!
Registration closes Dec. 2nd!
ICP Regina Youth Volleyball is committed to player safety and will adhere to all Government of Saskatchewan Sport and Activity Guidelines and Sask Volleyball's Return to Play Protocol to provide a safe sporting experience.
As new information is continually received/updated from the Government of Saskatchewan and our governing sport bodies, ICP Regina Youth Volleyball reserves the right to change/delay/postpone dates and/or times of sessions to meet the needs of the program and government guidelines.
